چکیده

Researchers commonly apply item response theory (IRT) models to binary and ordinal items in order to measure an underlying trait using a collection of observed responses to test questions or items. For binary items, a common IRT model is the two parameter logistic (2PL) form. Assume that we have observed p item responses for n individuals where a correct responses is designated with a ’1’ and an incorrect response a ’0’. Let the matrix Y = {Yij : i = 1, . . . , n; j = 1, . . . , p} denote the set of binary item responses. The 2PL IRT form for the probability of a correct response on item j for participant i denoted by Yij = 1 is the following,

Description Extended Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). Models may be specified with reticular action model (RAM) matrices or paths, linear structural relations (LISREL) matrices or paths, or directly in matrix algebra. To increase modularity, model expectations, fit functions, and optimizers can be easily interchanged. Fit functions include full information maximum likelihood (FIML),maximum li...

A modular approach for item response theory modeling with the R package flirt.

The new R package flirt is introduced for flexible item response theory (IRT) modeling of psychological, educational, and behavior assessment data. flirt integrates a generalized linear and nonlinear mixed modeling framework with graphical model theory. The graphical model framework allows for efficient maximum likelihood estimation. The key feature of flirt is its modular approach to facilitat...

P105: Developing and Obtaining the Reliability and Validity of Eight-Item Short Form of Spielberger Stat-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI)

The aim of this study was to develop and obtain the reliability and validity of 8 items short form of Spielberger stat-trait anxiety inventory (STAI) for use in circumstances where the full form is inappropriate. In this study a correlational method is carried out. Using the available sampling, the sample subjects were selected from 161 patients who referred to one of hospitals of Isfahan. In t...

ltm: An R Package for Latent Variable Modeling and Item Response Theory Analyses

The R package ltm has been developed for the analysis of multivariate dichotomous and polytomous data using latent variable models, under the Item Response Theory approach. For dichotomous data the Rasch, the Two-Parameter Logistic, and Birnbaum’s Three-Parameter models have been implemented, whereas for polytomous data Semejima’s Graded Response model is available. Parameter estimates are obta...

Nonparametric IRT: Scoring functions and ordinal parameter estimation of isotonic probabilistic models (ISOP)

The most popular unidimensional psychological test evaluation rule is the trivial scoring function: To the answers of each item of a test item scores of 0,1,...m points are awarded and the unweighted or simple or total sum of the item scores gives the test score (also: Likert score). This total score has desirable stochastic ordering properties like monotone likelihood ratio (MLR), stochastic o...
